½ teaspoon of kelp powder

½ teaspoon of chlorella (or spirulina)

A small amount of an essential oil such as rose, sandalwood, sweet fennel,frankincense or lavender

Add the chlorella and kelp powders to the essential oil and stir to blend. Add the oil, yogurt or aloe vera gel and blend once more. If required, add a little more liquid until you have a smooth mixture which can easily be spread. Use a spoon to scoop the mask out of the container and apply to the neck and face using the fingertips. Use a rubbing circular motion as this will help to exfoliate. Leave for up to half an hour then rinse off and moisturize.

Your face mask will last around 7 days in the fridge if it has a yogurt base but only around 2 days for an aloe base. Oil based masks last longer – up to a couple of weeks when refrigerated.
